Artist Statement
My name is Bianca Gallegos, I am Hispanic and I am very open-minded. When I first really started working on anything that had to do with art, was in middle school. I admit I wasn't the best drawer around, but I always tried to do my best. So high school came around and I decided to also continue with art. What I really like about art is that I can express myself how and when I feel like it. It's a really good way to channel ones emotions and be who they really are. I might not have the skills to be the next Picasso, but when I continue with a positive mind set I can always accomplish what I want.
When it comes down to my artwork I have to "inspect" that it is coming out the way I want it to look. If it does not come out to my standards I will do everything in my power to make it exactly the way I want it. That just means that I am very dedicated to my work, my work represents who I am as a person and how neat I can be. I feel that i'm not that good of an artist but it's my responsibility to pick myself up and always give 100% of my effort into my artwork. Like I said in the beginning I am very open-minded, so I decided to try art Freshman year, and I loved it. From that point on I knew that I wanted to stay in the art curriculum and better myself as an artist. In the end I aspire to be a photographer. |
